Working in a media-neutral way, publishing on a cross-media basis: The "Media Management and Journalism" studies training publishing house will be using a further module produced by the Koblenz software experts and therefore experiencing even more journalistic flexibility.

Both sides will be profiting from this: the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Wilhelmshaven and the red.web software company from Koblenz will be cooperating even more closely in the future. The training publishing house for the "Media Management and Journalism" studies has already been using the Internet-based red.web-Layout design tool for the last five years to produce the "jade.impuls" student newspaper, and now red.web-Crossmedia will also be used in the far north from the coming semester onwards as a platform for media-neutral organisation of editorial contents.

Only four weeks after the signing of the contracts, the participating parties from the Bielefeld-based daily newspaper and the software company from Koblenz have started co-operation with the first training session.

The system specifications have just been printed, the first joint project days have been successfully concluded: The co-operation between the "Neue Westfälische" daily newspaper and the software supplier is gathering momentum! "Together with our colleagues in Bielefeld, here in Koblenz we have dedicated ourselves to the setting customisation and the stylesheets in red.web-Layout in a very target-orientated atmosphere of partnership," says red.web Project Manager Oliver Tregl, reflecting on the pleasing results of the first training week on the Middle Rhine. Immediately afterwards, project days will follow in Eastern Westphalia. There, editorial workflow will be the topic.

An opinionated team of editors, together with an exemplary organisation and a multimedia production process: This is what the Nordbayerischer Kurier in Bayreuth stands for. Recently, the Upper Franconian newspaper has been successfully relying on a further module from red.web for its work.

For several years, the Nordbayerischer Kurier in Bayreuth has been demonstrating impressively how a regional newspaper can react to the changing requirements in the media world, editorially, technically and in terms of organisation. This required, among other things, a change of location: Since the move to new premises on the industrial estate, the editorial team has been working in an open-plan office – with many new possibilities. And appropriately for the modern structure, with a newsdesk as a central switching and production unit, at the Kurier, a modern instrument is also now in use as a platform for an optimal production process and for successful editorial management: the red.web-Crossmedia module.

The creators of the web-based editorial system were exceptionally satisfied with the three exhibition days in Frankfurt and are now looking forward to welcoming new clients.

After three days at the World Publishing Expo in Frankfurt on the Main the creators of the red.web editorial system from Koblenz reported a very positive outcome. "Once again, we're more than happy with this year's newspaper and media industry show", said Siegmund Radtke. "We used the World Publishing Expo in the best way to present ourselves and our strengths to a broad-based professional audience", said the publishing director of the Mittelrhein-Verlag and responsible for the red.web division.
